ABSTRACT
By focusing on the posthumanist trends in higher education, this chapter suggested an alternative reading of the pandemic lockdown that might open new possibilities for education in and beyond the COVID-19 pandemic. For this, three questions have been addressed: (1) How can we make sense of the COVID-19 situation? (2) What is the historical context in which COVID-19 has upended the world? (3) Why does posthumanist education matter in the post-COVID-19 era? Reading COVID-19 as an agent, an event, and an exposure in the posthuman condition, the chapter showed that the posthumanist education strategy post the pandemic must be based on the following four pillars: understand, explore, respond, and share. © Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2021.
